How to Create a ZIP File Through DirectAdmin Control Panel
- Access DirectAdmin by typing your domain (domainname.tld:2222) in your browser and log in using your username and password.

- Select File Manager from the System Info & Files menu.

- Browse and locate the folder (or folders) and files you want to compress.
In this example, we select the entire contents of the public_html folder.
Then click the Archive button.![]()
- A tab named Compress Files will appear.
There, select the path where your compressed file will be saved.
Give a name to the compressed file and select the compression type (zip or tar.gz).
Then click the COMPRESS button.![]()
- After a short while, depending on the size of the files you have selected for compression, you will see that the compressed file has appeared with the name you gave it in the path you selected. Now you can select it and click Download to download it locally.
