Changing your email password in Roundcube

At TrustServers, we recommend updating your email password periodically as a security best practice.

Your email account password can be changed either through the DirectAdmin panel or through Roundcube webmail. Below we describe how you can change your email password through Roundcube.

Logging in to your email account

Open a web browser and navigate to: https://example.org/roundcube
(replace example.org with your domain)

Enter your login credentials (email and password) and click LOGIN.

Navigating to settings

After successfully logging in, select Settings from the menu on the left.

Changing your password

  • In the settings, select Password.
  • In the window that appears, fill in the following fields:
    Current Password: your current password
New Password: the new password you wish to set
Confirm New Password: confirmation of the new password
  • Click Save to save the changes.

Once the process is successfully completed, the message Successfully saved will appear at the bottom right of the screen.

Security tip: Use a unique password of at least 12 characters, mixing letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid reusing passwords across accounts, and ask our support team about two-factor authentication options for added protection.

The password change process has been successfully completed.

Prefer to manage this from your hosting panel instead? See our guide on how to change your email password directly in DirectAdmin.
